Canine Assisted Therapy, Inc. (C.A.T.) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and one of South Florida’s leading pet therapy organizations, serving Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties.
Since 2009, C.A.T.'s volunteer pet therapy teams, each made up of a handler and therapy dog, have been providing free, comforting visits to those in need, touching the lives of more than 80,000 people annually. From hospitals and nursing homes to schools and treatment centers, our teams bring moments of compassion and connection to individuals facing physical, emotional, and behavioral challenges. Through the power of the human-animal bond, therapy dogs help reduce stress, encourage interaction, and offer a sense of comfort that words alone often cannot. C.A.T. maintains the highest standards to ensure every visit is safe, positive, and meaningful for both people and dogs.
