Colohatchee Dog Park
Members-only key-fob off-leash dog park in Wilton Manors with small-dog and large-dog enclosures plus free on-leash mangrove boardwalks.
About
Colohatchee Dog Park is a members-only key-fob off-leash dog park tucked inside 8.5-acre Colohatchee Park along the Middle River in Wilton Manors. The secure off-leash facility features controlled electronic gate entry and two separate fenced compounds for small dogs under 30 pounds and large dogs 30 pounds and over, surfaced with a blend of natural grass, mulch, and K9 artificial turf.
Both enclosures provide covered shade pavilions, park benches, canine and human water fountains, hose bibbs, and pet-waste bag dispensers beneath a lush tropical tree canopy. Outside the fenced dog runs, Colohatchee Park is open free to the public and features paved parking, restrooms, picnic tables, a boat ramp, and an elevated wooden boardwalk winding through mangrove wetlands where dogs are welcome on a six-foot non-retractable leash.
The off-leash dog park is open Wednesday through Monday from 8:00 AM to dusk and closes all day every Tuesday for maintenance, while the surrounding on-leash park trails operate daily from 7:30 AM to dusk. Annual key-fob memberships cost $30 for Wilton Manors residents with free additional dogs up to three total, or $120 for non-residents plus $45 per additional dog. Owners register in person at the Hagen Park Community Center with proof of current rabies and Bordetella vaccinations. Pairing a secure key-fob off-leash play yard with elevated mangrove boardwalk trails makes this Wilton Manors park a standout destination for nature-loving dogs.
