Bark Park At Snyder Park

Bark Park at Snyder Park is a flagship fenced off-leash dog park and freshwater dog-swimming destination nestled inside a 92-acre wooded municipal park in Fort Lauderdale. The dry dog-park compound features double-gated entry and two separate chain-link enclosures for large dogs and small dogs over natural grass and shaded dirt surfaces. Just to the west within the park, the dedicated Snyder Park Dog Swim provides a designated freshwater lake shoreline where off-leash dogs can wade, fetch floating toys, and swim in calm water.

Both fenced play enclosures are outfitted with permanent agility obstacles, canine and human water fountains, multi-hose dog-wash stations, covered shade pavilions, benches, picnic tables, and pet-waste bag dispensers. Surrounding the off-leash compounds, visitors enjoy free paved parking lots, public restrooms, butterfly gardens, and shaded nature trails where dogs are welcome on a six-foot non-retractable leash.

Admission and parking at Snyder Park are completely free seven days a week. The park and dog-swim area operate from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM from March through October and from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM from November through February, closing only on Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Routine maintenance closures occur at the dry Bark Park every Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM, while the freshwater Dog Swim closes on the first Tuesday and Wednesday of each month from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM for water treatment. All dogs must be over four months old and wear current rabies and license tags, with a three-dog limit per adult.
