Boaters Park
Seven-point-five-acre on-leash dog-friendly Broward County waterfront park along the Dania Cut-Off Canal with walking paths, docks, and picnic tables.
About
Boaters Park is a 7.5-acre on-leash dog-friendly Broward County waterfront linear park stretching along the north bank of the Dania Cut-Off Canal just west of Anglers Avenue in the Dania Beach area. Divided into an eastern land-accessible section and a western boat-accessible section, this scenic canalfront greenway welcomes dogs on a six-foot non-retractable leash across its paved walking and biking paths and shaded Bermuda grass lawns.
Along the waterfront promenade, visitors and their leashed dogs enjoy canal viewing decks, boat tie-up docks, shaded picnic tables, charcoal grills, park benches, drinking water fountains, and pet-waste bag dispensers beneath mature native shade trees. Free paved parking is located at the eastern land entrance, making it a peaceful spot to watch passing yachts and cast a fishing line with a canine companion by your side.
Admission and parking at Boaters Park are 100 percent free seven days a week, with no weekend or holiday gate fee. The park operates daily from 8:00 AM to 7:30 PM during spring and summer and from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM during fall and winter. Under Broward County Parks regulations, all visiting dogs must remain on a non-retractable leash no longer than six feet at all times, wear current rabies vaccination tags, and have all pet waste bagged and disposed of promptly. Watching boats glide along the Dania Cut-Off Canal from the shaded waterfront path makes every leashed walk here feel like a coastal getaway.
