Performance Pups Freshwater Dog Beach

Performance Pups Freshwater Dog Beach is a unique fenced off-leash freshwater dog beach and canine aquatics facility situated on the south shore of Tigertail Lake in Dania Beach, accessible via Anglers Avenue just west of Interstate 95. The securely fenced waterfront compound features a gently sloped sandy beach, a grassy shoreline play yard, and a full-size regulation dock-diving platform where dogs of all sizes and swimming abilities can leap, wade, and retrieve floating bumpers in clear freshwater.

The lakeside compound provides shaded seating areas, lawn chairs, canopy tents, freshwater rinse hoses, dog drinking water, life jackets for novice swimmers, and free unpaved parking right outside the gate near the south-end bus depot. In addition to open public beach sessions, the facility offers dock-diving lessons, canine aquatic conditioning, and private group lake rentals.

Public off-leash swim sessions cost $7.50 per dog per session, or $75 for a 10-visit punch pass, while private lake and dock rentals are available for $65 per hour for up to eight dogs. Public sessions typically run Tuesday through Friday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Saturday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and Sunday from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with the facility closed on Mondays. Because session times vary by date and private bookings, visitors should check the live online session calendar before arriving and bring proof of current vaccinations.
