Joseph Scavo Park Dog Park

Joseph Scavo Park Dog Park is a modern fenced off-leash dog park located inside Joseph Scavo Park in the Three Islands neighborhood of Hallandale Beach. Operated by the City of Hallandale Beach Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department, the facility features double-gated entry and two separate chain-link enclosures for large dogs and small dogs weighing under 30 pounds, surfaced with clean, mud-free K9 artificial grass turf.

Both synthetic-turf play compounds include canine and human drinking fountains, shaded seating benches, canopy structures, and pet-waste bag stations to keep dogs cool and clean year-round. Outside the fenced dog runs, Joseph Scavo Park offers two free parking lots, indoor public restrooms, fitness stations, shaded playgrounds, and a paved walking trail looping the park perimeter where dogs are welcome on a six-foot non-retractable leash.

Admission and parking at Joseph Scavo Park Dog Park are 100 percent free. The off-leash dog enclosures are open daily from 7:30 AM to dusk, with a scheduled weekly maintenance closure every Wednesday morning for turf sanitizing and upkeep. All visiting dogs must wear a collar with valid rabies vaccination tags, be at least four months old, and remain under adult supervision, with a maximum of three dogs per handler and no spiked, choke, or prong collars inside the enclosures. The mud-free synthetic K9 turf drains quickly after South Florida rain showers, keeping paws clean and ready for the ride home.
