North Pompano Park Dog Run

North Pompano Park Dog Run is a free public fenced dog run situated inside 20.4-acre North Pompano Park in northern Pompano Beach. Unlike the city's members-only dog park on Federal Highway, this neighborhood dog run requires no membership or key fob, offering a secure chain-link fenced grass enclosure where dogs can exercise and socialize in a relaxed community park setting.

The fenced dog run features shaded seating benches, canine water access, pet-waste bag dispensers, and mature shade trees along the perimeter. Beyond the dog run, the recently renovated 20.4-acre athletic and recreational park provides free paved parking, indoor public restrooms, covered picnic pavilions with grills, a shaded playground, lighted sports fields, and a paved walking and jogging path where dogs are welcome on a six-foot non-retractable leash.

Admission and parking at North Pompano Park Dog Run are 100 percent free seven days a week. The dog run is open daily from sunrise to sunset, while the park's lighted recreational facilities operate from 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM. In accordance with City of Pompano Beach park ordinances, all visiting dogs must wear a collar with current rabies vaccination and county license tags, remain on a six-foot leash outside the fenced dog run, and stay under the active supervision of an adult handler who cleans up all pet waste. Because no annual membership or key fob is required at this location, visitors and residents alike can enjoy free fenced dog-run access any day of the week.
