Oakland Bark Park

Oakland Bark Park is a spacious fenced off-leash dog park located adjacent to Royal Palm Park in Oakland Park, just east of Interstate 95. Operated by the City of Oakland Park Parks and Leisure Services Department, the facility features secure double-gated entry and two separate chain-link enclosures for large dogs and small dogs over natural Bermuda grass and shaded earth play areas.

The off-leash compounds are equipped with canine agility obstacles, human and dog drinking fountains, a dedicated dog-wash station, covered shade structures, park benches, and pet-waste bag stations. A dedicated 30-car paved parking lot sits right beside the entrance, and the adjoining Royal Palm Park complex offers public restrooms, shaded picnic pavilions, and lakeside walking paths where dogs are welcome on a six-foot non-retractable leash.

Admission and parking at Oakland Bark Park are 100 percent free year-round. The dog park operates daily from dawn to dusk, with brief periodic weekday morning closures for lawn mowing and turf maintenance. Under City of Oakland Park rules, all visiting dogs must be at least four months old, wear a collar with current rabies vaccination and Broward County license tags, and remain under active adult supervision inside the fenced runs. With its dedicated parking lot, agility obstacles, and convenient rinse station right by the gate, this Oakland Park favorite makes daily off-leash exercise effortless.
