Get your tails wagging for a fun evening at the 😎 Fort Lauderdale Dog Beach followed by Doggie Happy Hour at the World-Famous Parrot Lounge! Bring your furry friend for a splashing good time at the beach anytime beginning at 5 PM. Whether your pup wants to chase the waves or just dig in the sand, there's fun for everyone. The dog beach is 1,400 feet north of A1A and Sunrise Blvd. Hosted by Everglades Angels Dog Rescue.
At 7 PM, stroll over to the Parrot Lounge at 911 Sunrise Lane for some tail-waggin' excitement during Doggie Happy Hour. 🍺 Help support abandoned pups in need!. There will be great raffle prizes to fetch, live entertainment to keep the paws tapping, and food and drink specials that'll have you coming back for more.
Come out and show your support for the abandoned dogs in our community. Your participation and donations will directly help provide food, shelter, and medical care to dogs in need. Together, we can make a significant impact on their lives and give them a chance for a better future.
Please note that the city is now enforcing dog permit requirements at the beach. Here are the details:
Annual Dog Permits:
- $30 per dog for Fort Lauderdale residents
- $45 per dog for non-residents
- $5 for lost permit replacements
Permits must be purchased in-person at the Parks & Recreation Administration at Holiday Park, 1150 G. Harold Martin Drive, Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. Annual renewals may be handled by mail.
One-Weekend Permits:
- $7 per dog (valid for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)
One-weekend permits can be purchased at the beach.
