Dog Park At John Williams Park
Shaded fenced off-leash dog park inside Hollywood's 32-acre John Williams Park with small-dog, large-dog, and agility sections.
About
Dog Park at John Williams Park is a heavily shaded fenced off-leash dog park nestled inside 32-acre John Williams Park, also known locally as Sheridan Oak Forest, in Hollywood. Surrounded by a preserved canopy of towering live oaks, the off-leash facility features double-gated entry and three distinct fenced sections accommodating large dogs, small dogs, and agility training over natural grass, dirt, and wood-mulch footing.
The oak hammock provides exceptional natural shade throughout the heat of the day, complemented by park benches, picnic tables, water hoses, canine drinking fountains, and pet-waste bag dispensers inside the enclosures. Beyond the off-leash fences, the 32-acre park features free paved parking lots, public restrooms, picnic shelters, a playground, and winding nature trails through native oak forest where dogs can explore on a six-foot non-retractable leash.
Dog Park at John Williams Park is open seven days a week from sunrise to sunset with completely free admission and parking. In accordance with City of Hollywood Parks and Recreation guidelines, all visiting dogs must wear a collar with valid rabies vaccination and county license tags, be at least four months old, and stay under the active voice and visual control of their adult handler. Owners must leash their dogs outside the double-gated entry and pick up all pet waste. Because the mature live oak hammock filters out the midday sun, this three-section fenced park remains one of the coolest outdoor dog-play spots in Hollywood.
