About
Dog Park at Poinciana Park is a fenced off-leash neighborhood dog park situated inside Poinciana Park just south of Downtown Hollywood. Operated by the City of Hollywood Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts, this community dog run features chain-link perimeter fencing, a double-gated entry vestibule, and an open grass and mulch play yard designed for everyday off-leash exercise and neighborhood socialization.
Mature royal poinciana and tropical shade trees border the enclosure, offering natural relief from the afternoon sun alongside park benches for handlers. The dog run is outfitted with a canine water fountain, pet-waste bag dispensers, and trash cans, while the broader park provides free street-side and lot parking, public restrooms, basketball courts, a children's playground, and shaded concrete sidewalks where dogs can walk on a six-foot non-retractable leash.
Dog Park at Poinciana Park is open seven days a week from sunrise to sunset with 100 percent free admission. City of Hollywood dog-park rules require every visiting dog to be over four months of age and to wear a collar with valid rabies vaccination and county license tags. Owners must keep their dogs leashed when entering and exiting the enclosure, supervise their pets within view and voice control, and bag all pet waste promptly. Eastside Hollywood dog owners count on this convenient neighborhood enclosure for daily off-leash socialization, shaded bench seating, and easy street parking.
