Roosevelt Gardens Park

Roosevelt Gardens Park is an official on-leash dog-friendly Broward County neighborhood park located in the Roosevelt Gardens community of central Fort Lauderdale. Operated by Broward County Parks and Recreation within the Broward Municipal Services District, this community green space welcomes dogs on a six-foot non-retractable leash across its paved walking and jogging path and manicured Bermuda grass lawns.

The park features covered picnic shelters, outdoor tables, charcoal grills, shaded benches, an outdoor fitness zone, drinking water fountains, pet-waste bag dispensers, lighted basketball courts, a shaded playground, and a community center with public restrooms. Mature tropical shade trees line the perimeter walkway, and free paved parking is provided right beside the park entrance.

Admission and parking at Roosevelt Gardens Park are completely free seven days a week throughout the year. The outdoor park grounds operate daily from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. In accordance with Broward County Parks rules, all visiting dogs must be kept on a non-retractable leash no longer than six feet at all times, wear a collar displaying current rabies vaccination tags, remain outside the community center building and playground structures, and have all pet waste picked up and disposed of promptly. With its smooth paved walking loop, outdoor fitness stations, and shaded picnic shelters, the park supports active daily outdoor exercise routines for both neighborhood handlers and their leashed dogs.
