About
Sunview Park is a spacious on-leash dog-friendly Broward County neighborhood park located in southwest Fort Lauderdale's Broward Municipal Services District near the Plantation border. Featured on Broward County's official dog-friendly parks roster, the property welcomes dogs on a six-foot non-retractable leash along its paved perimeter walking, jogging, and biking path and open grassy recreation lawns.
Along the tree-lined walking loop, pet owners enjoy covered picnic shelters with tables and grills, shaded park benches, drinking water fountains, pet-waste bag dispensers, public restrooms, and free paved parking lots. The park also includes lighted baseball and soccer fields, outdoor basketball courts, a shaded children's playground, and a community recreation center.
Sunview Park is open seven days a week from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and both admission and parking are 100 percent free every day of the week with no weekend or holiday gate fees. Under Broward County Parks and Recreation regulations, all visiting dogs must remain on a non-retractable six-foot leash at all times, wear current rabies vaccination tags, stay off athletic game fields and playground equipment, and have all pet waste bagged and placed in trash receptacles. Wide-open green lawns, shaded perimeter sidewalks, and convenient free parking make this southwest Fort Lauderdale park an easy everyday neighborhood destination for morning and late-afternoon leashed walks, gentle jogs, and fresh outdoor air year-round.
