Reverend Samuel Delevoe Memorial Park
Thirty-six-acre on-leash dog-friendly Broward County waterfront park in Fort Lauderdale with a lakeside walking trail and picnic shelters.
About
Reverend Samuel Delevoe Memorial Park is a 36-acre on-leash dog-friendly Broward County park situated along the North Fork of the New River in Fort Lauderdale's Broward Municipal Services District. Centered around a scenic freshwater lake and riverfront cove, the park welcomes dogs on a six-foot non-retractable leash along its paved biking, jogging, and walking paths and shaded Bermuda grass lawns.
As handlers and their leashed dogs stroll the lakeside trail, they have access to covered picnic shelters with tables and grills, waterfront benches, outdoor fitness zone stations, drinking water fountains, pet-waste bag dispensers, public restrooms, and free paved parking lots. The park also offers a canoe and kayak launch, fishing areas along the water's edge, and a shaded children's playground.
Admission and parking at Reverend Samuel Delevoe Memorial Park are 100 percent free seven days a week with no weekend or holiday gate fee. The park is open daily from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM year-round. Under Broward County Parks and Recreation regulations, all visiting dogs must remain on a non-retractable six-foot leash at all times, wear a collar with current rabies vaccination tags, stay out of the lake and community center building, and have all pet waste bagged immediately. Breeze-cooled lakefront paths and scenic views along the North Fork of the New River create a peaceful backdrop for morning and evening leashed walks.
