Riverside Neighborhood Dog Park

Riverside Neighborhood Dog Park is a welcoming fenced off-leash dog park tucked inside the tree-lined Riverside Park neighborhood of Fort Lauderdale just south of the New River. Enclosed by secure perimeter fencing with a double-gated entry vestibule, the park provides an open natural grass and shaded earth play yard where neighborhood dogs can exercise off-leash, chase balls, and socialize in a relaxed residential setting.

Mature tropical shade trees canopy the enclosure, keeping the play area comfortable throughout the day while park benches offer convenient seating for pet owners. The dog park is equipped with a canine drinking water fountain, pet-waste bag dispensers, trash receptacles, and pedestrian lighting for early-morning and evening visits. Free neighborhood street parking and adjacent park spaces make dropping by effortless, and the surrounding park grounds feature shaded sidewalks, a playground, and picnic areas where leashed dogs are welcome on a six-foot non-retractable lead.

Admission to Riverside Neighborhood Dog Park is completely free, and the enclosure is open seven days a week from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Under City of Fort Lauderdale dog-park regulations, each adult handler may supervise a maximum of three dogs at a time, and puppies under four months of age as well as female dogs in heat are prohibited. All visiting dogs must wear a collar displaying current rabies vaccination and county license tags, and owners are required to clean up pet waste immediately and fill in any holes dug during play.
